"Sometimes pictures can capture things that words are not able to."

Thank you for reading my blog and enjoying the photos that I capture. We are all artists in this world, harness it and follow those dreams at whatever the cost; that is what life is supposed to be about.

Photoshoot with Lauren

Lauren approached me about doing a shoot a couple weeks ago and we both envisioned something with a sports theme.  She enjoys sports as much as I do and this became a real fun filled shoot.  We started off early and found a location that could encompass all the sports that we had in mind.  We put a little twist to each sports shot, including a pair of heels or boots to go with each outfit.  I really enjoyed myself doing the baseball and football shots, they fit Lauren real well, and it also helped that she wore my Red Sox jersey and hat.  All in all we included basketball, track, baseball, beach volleyball, lacrosse, soccer, baseball and football into one great sports shoot!  Well done Lauren, here are some shots from the shoot:

Photoshoot with Cortney

I have known Cortney from my days in Raleigh and she is a good person with a soft heart.  Cortney and I had discussed shooting for awhile and it finally came to light when she decided to come home to Surf City for a couple days.  We wanted something different from some of the other shoots that she has done, since we did have a wonderful backdrop to work with, the fantastic beach.  Lucky for us, there was no one on the beach and we had plenty of time and nature to work with.  The shoot turned out great, the sun played nice, and Cortney did a phenomenal job as the pro model she is.  This shoot was a great reminiscence of where she grew up and her background.  It mixed a great person, with a great environment, together into picturesque photos....check them out:

Photoshoot with Robert

Robert is a good friend of mine here in Wilmington and we share a bond through our aspirations of becoming successful actors.  We both have put a lot in the balance to pursue this dream and I have a lot of respect for him.  He is talented in more ways then one and I wanted to capture this shoot with an essence of his character and personality.  The theme for this shoot was a cross between a cowboy and also a man living life in his element.  Robert brings a great presence when he is front of the camera and he was also the first male I have ever shot.  He shot very well and the camera brought out his Paul Newman like qualities.  Here are a couple of the shots from the shoot:

Pin-up Photoshoot with Brandy

A month ago Brandy had asked me if I wanted to re-create a 50's era pinup shoot with her.  I had never done a shoot like this, but was very eager to try it out and hoped the outcome was agreeable for both of us.  The shoot was more than what I expected and the photos came out great!  Brandy had her friend Madonna from Moxie Productions in Greenville help out with wardrobe, hair and make-up.  She did a fantastic job and Brandy fit the pin-up girl to perfection.  A fine gentleman allowed us to use his house and classic 60's Cadillac as the backdrop.  A great crew and props provided for the perfect shoot and I believe everyone was very happy with the photos.  Here are some shots from the shoot:

Photoshoot with Amy

There is nothing like the combination of nature and beautiful weather to give the perfect setting of a photo shoot.  Most of the work of the photographer is left to the ambient sunlight and his art is to capture it into a perfect picture.  My shoot with Amy was located near Fort Fisher Aquarium in North Carolina.  There was such a myriad places to shoot and the light was at it's best.  This was Amy's first shoot but she worked the camera like a pro and I rarely had to correct her poses.  The colorful dresses she had on, matched the backdrop of the fields and waterways with great precision and perfection.  I couldn't have been happier with the way the photos turned out and would love to shoot more at this location.  Here are a couple photos from the shoot:
